Nah sorry Dunlops are shit.
Mate have a read of the excerpt that you just took from previous post and re read it.... Theres a hint of sarcasm which Hanse did not detect either and the fact that I was offering any type of shoes. Well done! Comprehension was your forte at school.
Dont worry Chris, everybody is completely gratefull for what you are doing in skateboarding.
Great human being if you are asking me.
Mark
stealing shoes out of packages to fund his failing shop
more like giving me and other team riders shoes out of his own collection that hes payed for to tie everyone over until the adidas program starts this financial year. fuckhead

Trevor,
What fragments of respect and dignity you have managed to salvage over the years has been lost, through several pages of bitching and whining like 7 year old. Your issue was that Chris was working and 'consulting' for free. He has clearly pointed out that he gets paid. Problem solved.
The long and short of it is, you are pissed that Chris is taking money out of your pocket, as it lessens your oppurtinity to 'consult' these companys for a fee that you happily pocket and dont re-invest in to the skateboard commuinty. In fact I heard a story about you pocketing the entire Rip Curl tour's per diem and then giving the riders bread to eat for the trip. Feel free to say you didnt. Theres only so many people that can bleed blood from a rock and you are one of them.
And one other thing, ' The biggest sell outs in this industry are the people who do things for nothing', so does that mean 99.9% of skaters are sell outs, or is the ones with managers who lobby for over paid contracts for ignorant companies, the 'real skateboarders'?
Your points, or lack thereof, have been voided by points proven. Chidlike responses and shitty sarcasm. Having a resume consisting of the dingleberry's of skateboard companies, for employer's doesnt give you the right to disrespect people for trying to earn a living.
If you can read between the lines you can see this is all about your personal intrests that you have thiny veiled by a larger issue you have little to no power over.
I sincerely hope you act your age, and just shut up.
Christopher Mclean = fucking legend
quit hating, you dont even know...
I don't know Chris from Street Machine and I've only met Trev once (who was very friendly), so I'm not qualified to get involved in this argument.
Suffice to say, this is a very interesting thread. Maybe there should be a union for skateboard industry employees, although I'm sure there would be legal obstacles.
"more like giving me and other team riders shoes out of his own collection that hes payed for to tie everyone over until the adidas program starts this financial year. fuckhead"
So what you're saying, is that he is making sure that team riders are able to promote a companies product without the company even having to pay for the privilege, but still they get to reap the reward?
Not really a positive is it?
Yeah, but the team riders still get free shoes.
And they can always sell the shoes, which is indirect payment.
"Yeah, but the team riders still get free shoes."
Nothing is free.
Skaters get "free" stuff to promote and represent companies out of the companies promotion and marketing budgets.
If someone else is paying for the shoes, then a skater is essentially promoting and endorsing the brand at someone other than the brands expense, thus showing the brand that maybe they don't actually need to spend as much money to promote the brand, leading to less support for skaters in the future.
I am not meaning to aim this at tangent as I don't know the guy, his dealings or anything else, I am just responding to AUSTRALIA's comment about him paying for shoes to give to riders being a good thing.
Why are people saying shit with their eyes closed?
Everyone is looking at the person and not the big picture, I m not saying anyones a dick or anything, but is it really that hard to figure out that that skateboarding should be ran by skateboarders, Trevs just trying to make it so after riding for a company you don't feel like a rape victim with 2 pairs of shoes a some sunnies, to your name, but feel as though you are a princess with everything you'll need, (I see some bitching so I keept it easy for most).
If you have a problem please just write it in this forum and keep checking for responses.
Pritty much what that comic book guy said we need to go skate..
oh wait, I m in the car on the way
Have a good one lads and keep smiling..
its abit rich ranting on about whats best for skateboarding when the dude going on about it is sponsored by the likes of Dunlop, rip curl, and dragon sunglasses. not exectly the corest skate brands. but hey, if your gettin payed than thats all that matters right?
i think riding for and supporting non skate brands that are trying to make money off skating is way worse than packing a few boxes for free.
still want in on the skateboarding industry?
i know im running scared.
Now it is starting to get really hilarious!!!!!
At least Tangent makes an effort to answer questions, unlike yourself Trev.
