Every one keep complaining to ASC. We need to boycott this bullshit. I complained to ASC last night and received the above response from that SBA gave on their Facebook page.
Indeed, they think we are children.
Boycott
Email I sent to Dallas and Mr Goose. If someone who is not blocked wants to copy & paste it below the letter on their FB that would be appreciated. A deserved burn, I'm probably done with all this for now. I'm going to focus on positive things in skateboarding and step back from the politics.
Dallas & Martin,
I haven't liked anything at all about Skate Australia. I think it is a dishonest and misleading organisation that lacks any form of integrity. Completely lacking of any transparency or accountability.
SBA was actually heading in a great direction in many respects, despite being affiliated with your joke of an organisation that has squandered millions of taxpayer funding. You fired some dedicated and hardworking people. In hindsight I'm sure you are regretting cancelling the AM titles, that $5000 event will end up costing you your jobs and sink the organisation.
I wanted to see Skate Australia fail. I want to thank you for speeding up the process. You asked for a dialogue with the skateboard community, yet failed to answer any questions. None at all. You treated the community that I love with arrogance and disrespect. I believe you took us for an unintelligent lot, completely underestimating our passion and tenacity.
I knew sooner or later Skate Australia would be exposed as the sham it is. Admitting to the skateboard community publicly that it cannot obtain membership, or have a say in the direction of the funds allocated to it from ASC. Asking for questions, then silencing those asking the hard ones. Demanding we complain to you directly, after treating us with contempt, instead of the ASC. These are the final nails in the coffin.
In a matter of months, you two have been responsible for the self destruction of your organisation. You have butchered your positions spectacularly and surprisingly swiftly.
Your positions, and that of Skate Australia having anything to with skateboarding or taxpayer funds, are untenable.
For trashing skateboardings' opportunity and the disrespect you have shown to us, the Australian skateboarders, you deserve your public shaming.
I look forward, with schadenfreude, to your next implosion fulfilling statements.
Joshua
Hahaha holy shit Josh that's fucking rad!
I'm going to send them a poem. Actually maybe we need to have an sba haiku comp?
After a decade or so they are starting the process for skateboarders to become members. Pretty legit looking stock photo. I wonder if they are going to expect us to pay them money for memberships? I wonder how that will go for them in the current circumstances

Another cringe worthy move by SA.
Someone at a conference overheard ASC reps admitting that Skate Australia is a problem.
.....3rd hand, so not sure if it real.
Embarrassment for ASC more like!
They have been pretty quiet eh?
I heard a little rumor that there's a whole new committee forming to essentially be the new organisation for skateboarding in Australia, with non other than Mr Rentos himself being heavily involved...
No word from Marty Moose at all.
I asked 2 polite questions on Skate Australia's FB page and was blocked
I can post on any SBA/SA sites because I ask questions they don't like. So far for this financial year they have finally announced some programs! Despite their being stakeholders that would do this stuff for a few hundred bucks a session, this is what $680k buys. Sure, ACT and QLD have some programs. However a total of 12 hours of lessons for Victoria and South Australia? Think this is good value? Want to ask a question or vote on the board? Tough luck!
The real dodgy aspect is their "insurance". Amongst the Derby community SA insurance is regarded as a rort. Check these waivers! Can you find any information about what it covers? Of course not, which in the sale and offer of insurance is highly illegal. How long is the period of the cover? What are the limitations? What are the exclusions or benefits? It does state though that by signing up, and paying $20, you absolve SBA, SA and Nike (are they still business partners?) from all liability. EVEN IF SBA ARE NEGLIGENT OR CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACCIDENT OR INJURY!
Read through, these clowns are the height of incompetence. Link below is from the $20 insurance link.

Email to Marty Moose and the CEO. I get bored and like to poke them with a stick
Hi,
On your clinics it says you can purchase insurance for $20, but provides no further information or product disclosure statements. Apart from being illegal, it's lazy and bad practice.
Can you provide the PDS for your insurance to me? This is a formal request which will be further pursued by ASIC by close of business 15/12/2014 if not provided.
Also, you still have Nike branding on your stuff. I don't care but they formally severed ties with you months ago. Again, lazy, sloppy and unprofessional.
Good to see good taxpayer money wasted on incompetence.
Josh
Damn shits fucked up. Signed
I've lodged written complaints with APRA, ACCC and ASIC about their dodgy insurance
If you are a coach at one of their events, I suggest you look at your liability in depth and get independent advice. You are set up as a contractor for a PTY LTD company. I reckon if something happened they would hang you out to dry. The waivers the participants sign are not legally binding in any way.
remind me never to cross Josh : )
Josh is right.
Anyone coaching or running an event needs to check the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) to see what is covered, and more importantly what excuses the insurer has to refuse cover.
If the person selling or providing your insurance cannot or will not give you a PDS, and a Certificate of Currency, you have to assume that you are not insured.
Well it looks like they are done and dusted. The ASC have released their 2015 funding statement and there is a MINUS $680k next to skateboarding.
On one hand it is good that this is the final nail in Skate Australia's coffin. On the other hand it is really bad, as it is going to be a massive struggle to get government funding in the future.
Who knows what really happened, and where the money all went. Millions. From my understanding, Skate Australia gave all the roller sports fuck all funding, and no assistance. They were advertising for a CEO a couple of months ago, with $100k annual salary.
In the words of the Angels, No way get fucked fuck off

So the Liberal funding cut $680000 from SkateAustralia? What was the initial annual funding? Is there anything left would you imagine it to just be dissolved?
Can not say I am surprised that an Abbott/Hockey government would cut money from something skate/youth orientated. It seems like it could be a positive thing in the long run, as it would allow skaters to rally together something more skateboarding orientated to the next fed election?
$680 is the government funding they received last year, and the 2 years before. This year they received zero, hence the -$680 difference this year. SBA received a large grant for the "be the influence" and 2 million approx in membership fees annually.
Anyhow, I've only got 13-14 ones as they have not released this years. A receiver of taxpayer funding not releasing a budget is atrocious. The lack of breakdown and vague, dodgy headings (for example $675 for "support services") is a joke. These are their documents.
