there's countless stuff to be proud of in australia. 50 000 years of indigenous culture, the fact that we are able to call our prime minister a dickhead and not get imprisoned, the history of music in major cities like sydney and melbourne, the physical beauty of our land and the sea that surrounds us... sure, there are some pricks here but there's a thousand things to appreciate for every single bad thing
I love living here, just don't like the word pride. Had it smashed into me for a few years in military that im supposed to be proud to live here, and proud to serve the country and all that bullshit. Iv really only thought about it in a negative sense ever since. I feel blessed or lucky to have been born here and live the lifestyle I have an there are countless positives, but its hard to say im proud of what Australia is.
