Make sure you check out the 17th annual Fernside skate comp on the 10th of April. It runs from 2pm till 7:30 and includes the screening of Volcom's vid #truetothis. The day includes best trick comp, giveaways and a 6m outdoor theatre. Presented by @weave_youth

So close ! Next Tuesday, Leichardt council is voting whether to proceed with the callan park skate space. Please come to the council Town Hall in Marion st, leichardt next Tuesday the 28th of April at 6:30pm to show your support and ensure that this project is given the green light !

Thanks to everyone who attended THE CRESCENT (Glebe skate space) design meeting today! So many amazing ideas, suggestions and design concepts already being put down on paper! This facility will be about the same size as Waterloo and will be constructed in the space currently occupied by "Balmain Rentals". More info coming soon @bjornj @convicskateparks @cityofsydney

It's not hard to see why Melbourne is considered Australia's cultural hub and was also voted "the worlds most liveable city" in 2014. "Open/shared spaces" for physical recreation that give entire communities the ability to interact with each other are few and far between in this city!
