RE: WEEKLY ASSWhen we got to this spot my vision starting going whack and blurry which meant I was getting a stupid ass migraine... So shit. By the time Seeno landed the boardy I could only make out shapes so I ditched everyone and sped back home. Didn't even get to see Kritty flip the gap haha. I've been in bed for the last 4 hours and now feel very hungover.
Anyway - Seeno, FS Boardy
In hindsight I would've got lower but oh well
Ccomic book guy2 Sept 2010

RE: WEEKLY ASSok, i guess theres enough time and entries for me to say someone is the winner!

K man - this is photo is sick. it's probably the best example of micro comp.
your horizon is a tad off and if you pulled back a touch or dropped your camera a little you could have gotten that reflection in the photo... i kinda think when the photo is more about shapes, like this one is, you can have the luxury of being even looser with your crop...
really nice photo though... it would have been a hard one to decide if you took this one out, but you entered it in artos thing so try to give it to someone that shot for this specifically.

Bibby - Rad. how's the setting. train lines in a photo is always a winner. i'm in two minds about the filmer in the photo. it's cool, i get it, but it forces you to be where you are to keep the kicker in etc, whereas if you were a little lower you could put the skateboarder in the sky... but then again if you did that you verticles (those poles) would start to cone in.
fuck i dont know... this photo's pretty fucking rad. you killed it composition wise i think.

lagooner - so close to being great. i probably would have told him to do it again personally. lighting looks prretty good etc. maybe just would have had to go the square down to keep him in. unfortunately i dont think the missing eyes nose of his board really works... just gets a bit awkward and feels a bit claustrophobic. but rad you took the risk. it should have worked, you should have just thrown your friend over the rail one more time.

SDG - this photo is great. good timing, good lighting (little hot on his face) good framing too! pull your flash at the top a little higher and make that shadow run along all the corner points of the stairs.. that would be cool. there's nothing really wrong with this photo at all, it just doesnt really have anything to do with micro composition. haha! its cool as though.

Moey - you know...
his board gets lost. i dont know, if you got lower his head would be in the trees and then if you straightened up to avoid that youd be too front on and the rail would look silly. so i guess you didnt do bad at all... it just doesnt kick but you know that.

MAX - hard spot to shoot at, i've shot photos there too and you probably did a better job then me. little more on the bottom would be cool and you can afford it on the top. then you'd get all of that concrete gutter in at the bottom all the way to the left.
it's cool, just not really micro comp.

umm so i guess i think the person that got the brief the most was bibby!
thanks for entering everyone. bibby send me youre address and i'll try get my dad to send you a print... i'm in NY at the moment but there's a bunch at his house in a stack! my email - andrew@andrewpetersphoto.com

this is my post... i think it's almost good... wishing his wheels were off that fence etc... probably should have gotten him to jump again (this was the make) but it was hot and i was confused, and i dont speak japanese.

Buchi - Hardflip

feel free to pick my photo to bits.

AATHF9 Sept 2010
Seasons? (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring)
Could have some real good use of colours
Bbrockollie.9 Sept 2010
theme could be 'kicks'- anyway you can interpret it. shoes, foot plants, kicks on the board(tail slides, nose slides, blunts etc) getting kicked out? so many options
Ccaptain syphilis9 Sept 2010
i second that^^
KK man9 Sept 2010
Cheers Andrew and everyone

I was really happy with how it turned out
