you know nothing. petitions were done about 2-3 years ago.
i think it was pretty much joey and barry s. that got all the progress in motion. they only just decided on the warrawong location (big paddock just south across the road from the cinemas) a month ago i guess. definately need someone like convic to build the park cause the council will just fuck it up eg. gerringong and jamberoo.

Sorry for saying that nobody had done anything because the obviously have. I know that now.
I also know that the council seeked the help of Convic who came up with the final location and that the tender for final design and construction will be out in a few months and that they are planning to base the design on Cammery plaza in North Sydney.

Also, when the development application is lodged in a few months there will be another opportunity for everyone to provide input into the design etc. and the council's recreation project officer Steve Maidment can be contacted on smaidment@wollongong.nsw.gov.au if you have any ideas that you would like to be considered for the design. I assume you can email him whenever and not have to wait for tender and development applications to be lodged.

Well, Beau, I'm just trying to help. I emailed a few people to find out how everyone can input into the design of the park so that you can get the best possible.
Feel free to complain if the council builds a shitty park because even though you emailed this Steve person he ignored you, but don't complain if they build a shitty park because you didn't bother reading my post to find out how you can have input into it.
