Redland Bay Skatepark

The Redland Bay park, beside the Police Station and Vehicular Ferry landing right on the water front, was completed by Sk8con in November 2002. This park is an interesting combination of form and style, which will make for varied opinions.
The park itself is another small squashed construction with a combination of ramp and street obstacles. The main 6 to 7ft half pipe at one end joins a similar transition hip quarter on one side and a very unique vert wall on the other. There is a small X shaped obstacle in the middle which no one seems to know what to do with, and the facing side has a matching block / rail / block arrangement which seems like street obstacle overkill. Behind this on the top platform there is a small kinked mini of minimal proportions, 1ft high and 5ft wide.

the nearest sk8shop is at Victoria point, black rock or cycle scene are the go, vikky poin tis like 20 min sk8... capalaba is like a f*ckin 2 hour sk8 lol

i go there just about every day and they have taken the x out finaly omg that was 1 thing that every1 hated and i pissed so many people off they would land a trick then hit the x and axe them selfs it is like full graphitied now its an alright skater park there are some bickers but the local bickers dont snake you unless u have ether pissed them off or they havce been snaked so many times other then that they are kool bikers..
alright now the x is gone the mini vert wall is great to air out of and the ledges are sik fun to

This is an 'okay' skate park. The halfpipe is definately the main attraction. I personally find the mini fun to skate and to learn new stuff on. And the vert a whole heap of fun. I've nearly got 5-0's goin' on it. The street part is WAY to compressed. Overall. A cool skatepark.
