Tamborine Skate Park

If you are new to the area, the skatepark at North Tamborine is a little hard to find, being tucked away behind the Community Centre off Main Street, but also accessable the back way from the sports centre in Geissmann Street. Once there you would first note how the old concrete park has been constructed between a number of very large old trees, which give a fair amount of shade, but also drop a lot of leaf, branch and other mess which covers the whole area, so you can either test your luck or bring a big broom and sweep the park out before using it. As far as overall size, the park is quite large and consists of a couple of small obstacles up one end sloping down into the larger end bowl. The layout is quite unique and would be very good if it had transition and curves rather than mostly lumpy banked areas with coping that seems to have been added as an afterthought, but it can still be a fair amount of fun once you pick the right lines to hit the hips or other areas.

2-4 Geissmann St, Tamborine Mountain QLD 4272, Australia
