Animal Farm by George Orwell is my favorite book.

Just started reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Seems a bit slow. Any reviews? Also found out theres a movie for it.
RRon Swanson23 June 2009
It seems that people either love it or hate it. The book, that is.
MMetatron23 June 2009
Yeah, all I'm getting is really mixed reviews of either really liking it or really hating it, no one thinking that it was just an ok read. Have you read it Thrash?
AAddo23 June 2009
i thought no country for old men was a good read... but that's the only McCarthy i've read. cheers phenom u've given me a new one for the list

Currently reading City of the Dead by Brian Keene. Zombie book.

Not that good but a good twist on zombies who don't have a virus as such but are possessed by ancient demons. They still go "huuuuuuuuurrr" and smell like rotting arse though.

Addo, I found a book to send you. Not telling you what it is, but it is fiction, so that should narrow it down for you haha

Never heard of it or the guy who wrote it until I read about it in the thread I linked to earlier. I don't read fiction anymore - haven't for many years.
AAddo24 June 2009

Somebody mentioned Lance Armstrong's ghostwritten pile of commercial cliches? Give me a break.

Some great novelists to check out:

Philip Roth
John Steinbeck
Arthur Koestler
Norman Mailer
J.M. Coatzee

I've written a novel. It looks like it's gonna be published early next year. You guys will probably bag it out, but I don't care. It's called 'Voices in the Park'.

When you say 'scored' do you mean 'bought'.

Brains, I'd have to read it to bag it out, so it aint never gonnaz happening.
TTrogdor the Burninat24 June 2009
of course I did braddox, what do you think I meant?
Bbraddox25 June 2009
I always use 'scored' when I get something for free. I was trying to figure if eBay is giving away books.
