Mate it wasn't even that fast - keys to the lamborghini get fucked! It sounded clean/ish, but with all that reverb and some delay geez it's hard to tell. And that gay looking guitar? And he uses an expression pedal instead of the wang bar.
Arpeggio's/sweeps following the chord changes? That's the shredders equivalent of a root note bass line.
That wank should listen to soundgarden if he wants to get better at guitar.
Download the dvd's? BAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

As for speed - Deathy's heard some - would you think from what you've heard that I'd have no chance of pulling that off Deathy?
The guy's a full-time guitarist/jizz-master. He SHOULD be able to play AT LEAST that quick. Give me accurate tab and a backing tape and a week or two to work on it and yeah I'll at least pull off a bit of a sloppy version. (I'd need the week or two because I work full-time and would struggle to find the motivation to even listen to that shit enough times for it to sink into my memory, and except for the last month or two, I've barely picked up the guitar for a good few years.)
And that's talking coming back from 3-4 fractures (probably more), 3 dislocations and I'm pretty sure a break or two in my fretting hand in the last year.
I only know for sure about some injuries because the only time I went to the docs was the one time I knew for a fact I needed stitches.
At least you seem to have some idea about style, but that's what makes me wonder why you like this Michel Angelo?

You gotta remember that some people (for example myself) have been playing guitar for 20 years, and are kind of past needing little pointers on how to warm up or whatever.
Anyway, I doubt it would do you any harm to listen to say some Stevie Ray Vaughan, or ACDC for starters. I'd suggest Zappa, but there's so much stuff you wouldn't know where to start, and considering his material I'd quite likely suggest something that would turn you off him, considering I don't really know what you're into.
Just simple shit - some blues and the like - hunt around some early solo Gary Moore...umm...get some .010 gauge (at least) strings on your guitar - those .008's - no good for nothing.

some guitarists i can suggest you check out if you wanna hear how the real guns play would be Larry Carlton, Pat Matheny, Joe Pass, John Schofield, Kenny Burrell, Mike Stern, Jeff Beck, Robyn Ford
these guys are the kind of guys that all the good guitarists aspire to be like. once kids who get into shredders mature they take one of two paths. one path is to spend eternity trying to nail their sweeps and appegios. their days disappear quickly and they fail to get any better at actually coming up with rad music. they're great imitators and fairly shitty musicians.... the other path is that they might realise that shredding is for wankers and they want to learn more about chords, harmony and improvisation through chord based soloing. these are the guys that end up being able to play anything you throw at them, and they can solo over every chord change known to man (and not by doing a root inversion appegio over 4 octaves)
check some of them out man if you want to be impressed

I use 11's but I'm probably going to go down I think, my guitar is set up like pure ass, I've snapped a couple of low high e strings doing full tone bends
