yeh man pretty much just a theory thing.

like say we we're talking about a D# major scale. if it was just a D scale it'd be D, E, F#, G, A, B, C#

so to make it a D# scale need to have the same alphabet letters. D#, E#, F##, G#, A#, B#, C##

double sharps count, they do exist.

now with all that said you'd be a fuckin moron to be calling it a D# sharp scale when it could be an Eb scale... Eb, F, G, Ab, Bb, C, D

Ah yeah because the rule kinda goes that the maximum is 4 flats or sharps eh. Well maybe not the rule, but the way it pans out with western modes....on the staff.

yeh something like that. it basically happens because, theoretically, to write any 7 note diatonic scale on a staff you need to be able to put a note at every line or space... you can't skip one, and then have 2 on the same line or space. thats the rule pretty much. some fools would write shit in D# major thought.. but they're just that. fools

there's nothing wrong with the major scale... as long as you're basing everything off the 6th note and continuing from there

I'm quite the fan of the muff. My mate often plays using the following setup: US Tele, Big Muff, Hot Rod deluxe; it sounds fantastic.

The Stuckey - I dunno...either your teacher doesn't quite something something or...the wah has a few adjustments you can make, so maybe whoever he borrowed it off got the settings all fucked up or something, because it sounds fine. I like it.

has any one heard of Michael Angelo Batio he has been voted best guitar player of all time, his technique is perfect and he has a series of instructional dvds called speed kills 1, 2 & 3 and speed lives all of them are awesome and really helped with my guitar technique making me alot faster
