This guy and his son are exactly what skateboarding doesn't need , The level of ridiculousness is almost comparable to the time that guy tried to sell his lutzka board for 10 grand. Like maxe said he is just trying to make a quick buck.

Read the article above and it is easy to see this guy has no interest in skateboarding except the money he can make by selling his shit products, he also mentions in the article a chinese screw and fastener company called ray fu ( http://www.ray-fu.com/ ) owned by chinese businessman Ray Fu so through this guy and his company he is getting his products made and it seems very cheaply as he sells decks for $20-$40 at stalls he sets up and markets.
Their website could easily be mistaken as a bad joke www.seekskateco.com/
a regular skateboard is referred to as a " new school " and the rest of the names are even more ridiculous . Quite possibly the funniest part is how they rank their levels of sponsorship as silver, gold and platinum.
The only positive thing I can see coming from this is that hopefully it will get kids on skateboards and not scooters but other then that this guy might as well get all his chinese crap in a pile and put a match to it.

hahahaha this is hilarious, you can even 'apply' for a sponsorship
This is embarrassing, I am not from Newcastle
Why go skateboarding out in the cold when you can rip local shops off from the comfort of your own home. Buy amnesia boards instead, those dudes are legit.
There is 2 proper skate shops in Newcastle, 50-50 skateshop and newcastle skate.
They stock there product in neither. Instead they stock it in chat surf shops and sell it off at markets and in the middle of shopping centres. Seek Skate Co is a disgrace to newcastle skateboarders.

Im bummed. At first I thought this was going to be a topic about the legit seek
When I was in Newcastle for work, I dropped in to the skate shop and the dude told me about these. At least the kids are learning fast for themselves that the boards are shit and then are going to the real skate shop for a good quality board instead.
Sucks they had to learn the hard way though and the education from locals is not passed on to the unsuspecting internet buyer or parent who thinks they are getting a great deal.

Sounds like the basic principles of capitalism to me
It's pretty stupid to say "Why go out in the cold when you can shop at home in comfort" when skating is done.... outside.
Seekskateco will continue to deliver quality at well below retail prices. If the competition cannot compete then maybe they need to look at their business models. Our products are indeed sourced from China and we have visited these factorys and have images upon images of all the big brands products being produced in the same factory's. The customer now has a choice he can continue to be overcharged by the big brands or he can support a local brand that is putting a lot more kids on quality skateboards at a true wholesale price. Our company supports local charities and community groups. We have supplied a number of schools and organisations free products to help them raise funds. We have run tournaments and we sponsor young hopefuls. We have sold over 1000 decks, trucks, wheels, etc in 6 months. We have a lot of very satisfied customers. Like anything we will have our detractors and competitors that dislike our business plans. We also are only a young company and will have some quality issues but we guarantee all our products and we endeavour to fix any of these quality issues. The retailers that have supported us we have guaranteed them product at a price that does not have them competing with our online store and they will still make the comparable profit to other skateboard brands selling them at retail. The choice is theirs!!! Seekskateco is here to stay and grow and get bigger and bigger. We still have a long way to go but our plans are working. Bring the competition on we are ready and waiting.
This could well be the bravest advertising strategy since 89 Ad when Caudex Assinus first tried to market Christianity to the masses using Lion motifs.
While initially hugely popular with the audience in the Colosseum the idea was deemed to have run its course when Caudex and his entire operation were given a final chance with 15 bears.
Caudex in an initial show of defiance drew a lion motif in the sand and the bears were then released and the program reached its obvious conclusion, (no Bears were hurt in this particular production...)
It is from this incident that the expression " draw a Lion in the sand" comes from. Good luck with that!

you started off really well by supporting the local shops and local skaters that have been building the scene and keeping strong over the years...
oh wait you havent done anything of the like, instead just by passing those to make a quick buck.
Skateboarding is about your roots. You should establish some roots before trying to drive everyone out of 'retail competition'
other wise you are just ruining it for all of us.
quick tip:
step 1 - go watch the movie "the castle"
step 2 - realise its all about the vibe
step 3 - accept your vibe is about prices and taking over and driving the local skate scene out of business
step 4 - consider if you want to go ahead with those plans before you ruin it for everyone
step 5 - learn the lesson 'money isnt everything'
step 6 - reply with some positive feedback and not some stupid rant about how im a dumb skater that doesnt know what im talking about.

Yeah you might be supporting local charitys and such, but that's helping yourself when trying to establish a new brand within your community.
You're definitely not helping the Australian industry or the respectable companies that contribute a lot more across the country.
I mean you boast of China wood...
