RE: Miscellaneous Pictures i took some shots of bees with these extension tubes i recently bought. focusing is so damn hard, the focal length is only 1 or 2mm, and those things just wont stay still.

Damn! There are some really amazing shots in here. I love the depth of field in the bee shots spoon. Fantastic!

I'll have to resize some pics from my travels around china and post em.

Speaking of depth of field. How does the aparture effect the depth of field ? I just used super macro for my flower shot. Iv read the manual but it doesnt really explain how aparture works, i use aparture to set the exposure, and for a depth of field style look i just use manual focus...so how does aparture effect it ? iv tried out both aparture fully open then closed and both shots looked the same.

I'm just a pleb when it comes to photography. I was told that there were too many people enrolled in photography at my school so I didn't make the cut. Happened with two other classes as well, so I left 3 weeks later.

Anyway, according to my 35mm Handbook. Aparture effects the focal length of Depth of Field. At the lowest fStop you get a narrow range of focus. At a higher fStop you get a wide range of focus.

The best way to see the difference is to set up 3 objects at equal distance from each other and try various fStop settings.
