Damn! Newidude, they are amazing. I really like em. Where is that landscape? And what settings did you use to get those shots.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures hey newidude, very nice pics but i noticed a dot that is in 2 of your pics in the exact same spot. looks like you might have have some dust on your sensor. let's hope not cause that's not a very good thing. hopefully its just dust on your lens. do a closer inspection by shooting into the clear sky or onto a white wall or something. if you have dust on the sensor don't try to clean the sensor yourself unless you 've got the right gear and know what your doin, just send it back for a clean.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures Thanks for that jerry, I shall look into it when I get home tonight, I'm at mum's now.
Cheers to you too Mic. Yew, props from a pro I admired when growing up, does it get any better? Both shots are like 11 minute exposures on a full moon. First one probably had about 5-7 flashes plus torch filling while flash recharged. Second one is torch filliing only. Both are different parts of number 1 beach at Seal Rocks-NSW. Roughly 2 and a bit hours North of Newcastle if you didn't know
Actually jerry I might just be safe. Sent this picture to mum today from the day after that night and its not visable on this so fingers crossed it was just some dust on the lense.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures Most people could blow this off as an easy shot but I shot this today in mojor wind at 200mm at f/5 so the slightest movement and all was outta focus again. Thank fuck for digital and thank fuck for 5fps. Bumped up the iso to 1600 and shot at 6400 just to save movment from showing and to try and get a good focus

I hate to ask a question that you have probably answered a hundred times before Newidude, but What camera are you using?

I'm bloody impressed mate. Two more amazing shots from you. Inspirational!

I'm really sick of the average quality I get from my IXUS V3. I have an old Powershot G1 that my ex gave me, but I never use it. I should start playing with it to see what kind of images I can get from it.

Shit Pooh Shit. I was wrong. There are several dust spots on the sensor. More money to be spent.

newi just clean it yourself. Its really easy. You just need a blower and 99% of things will just fly off. Just don't touch it. You've got instructions on how to do it in your book. I would do at least one of mine a week so write me an email if you have any questions but there really is no need to send it to Canon. stefan@sk8parx.com

my friend got dust on his d70 sensor. used a blower and got most of it off but there was still some there. then used some compressed air and killed his sensor. lucky his cam was still under warranty. he got some dust on his new d70 and used some eclipse fluid and pec pads and they worked fine, you can get this at nulab. just be extra carefull cause these sensors are really sensative and be more wary of where you change your lenses.
