You need to dig the grass out and lay plastic under the cement or said grass is gonna crack your slab.

You will also need to lay a base coat of crushed rocks , then compact it.

Your mesh needs to sit untop of plastic hats or bricks so that its sits around 50mm in the middle of your 100mm slab.

Second thought, your not driving your car on it so you could go as low as 60mm thickness.

CHILL THE FUCK OUT. Threatening violence isn't the way to deal with situations and shut people up. Maybe the most mature way to deal with it is to rise above it and be successful. It's great you did all that stuff and I'm sure people like and respect you for it and as I've said I admire your desire to continue to give back to the community. However, people have opinions, good and bad. Part of being an adult is being able to respond with grace and dignity whether those opinions are negative or positive. Have you ever heard anyone speak badly of walker, evanz or Lenny for example?

I was just saying, unless the guys renting, that setup will be there for fucking life unless he's planning on renting a jackhammer and compresser to run it, coupled with a mini skiff bin = too much cash to fuck something up like that.

So either build it will ply or save a bit more cash and do it right.

Dig it up, mix some weed killer with water (or the stuff the government uses for its chemtrails :) ) and kill everything there. Trees will fuck your cement work up.

CHECK WITH DIAL BEFORE YOU DIG THERE ISN"T ANY DRAINS OR PIPES UNDERNEATH YOU COULD BREAK. 1800 DIALBEFOREYOUDIG

Buy some orange plastic for the hardware and lay that down to again stop trees and plants from making their way up through you setup.

Depending on money, use some gravel (crushed rocks) on the bottom and compact it down with a rental compacter.

If not buy the stuff from bunnings in bags and using water and something heavy and flat just compact it by hand and use your feet.

If money is an issue , build one centre line and as you get more cash and building skills you can add each side later.

Now you need to box it all in. Goto bunnings and get cheap 20x70 timber, its about $2 a meter. Got bunnings or cheap as chips/cunninghams etc and buy wooden plant stakes to hold the edging as you fill the whole box with cement..
The stakes go on the outside of the edging and nail or screw the timber to them.

Some bricks or specialty plastic spacers to keep the reinforcing mesh in the middle of your slab. Any rails or coping can be attached with wire to said mesh for strength.

Ledges and hubbas? Use besser blocks.....look in the trading post, fridays advertiser or Gumtree for people looking to getrid of them.
