Nah I'm just writing/recording on my own for now. Hopefully pull a band together sometime soon, but I was kinda getting to the point where I was kinda jack of nothing happening and was considering just chucking all the shit in the cupboard and calling it a day. Kinda seemed like a waste of the grand and a half I spent last year on gear, so I've thrown most of another grand at it and yeah...now I'll get some use out of the junk at least. I dunno...some people seem to quite like some of the stuff I've done on my own in the past, so I dunno...maybe something...

Yeah G I got some. You've got bring home the bacon don't you? I was gonna stick 8-10 songs of solo stuff together to put out a fake cd, but I just haven't bothered - I'll have to get around to making a few copies sometime. I got about 20 songs of Desert Throat too - a band I was in back around the late 90's - pretty cool band - kind of a mixture of like...well lots of stuff - but I gotta get a couple of copies of that burnt too.
Got those other two songs done, all except for vocals, so should be able to mix those down on the weekend.
Oh and I scored a pushy for $30 yesterday. 3/4 size 10 speed mountain bike in pretty good nick. Can't wait for the weekend to experience that convenience of not waiting for the bus!

Yeah it's pretty convenient - rode the bike to the kebab shop last night. Only took ten minutes there and back instead of the usual maybe 25 walking.
Done some vocals last night - the ol' neck's a bit out of shape, but that's the beauty of recording - have a couple takes and keep the one that works HURRAH!
Have to start getting started on a new song or two in the next few days I guess...

Walking sucks. I'm used to at least skating to places within like 5km's. Walking takes way too fucking long. I suppose if you gotta finish a j before you get to the pub, or have a traveller to drink it's not so bad, but still...
Songs are...probably heavy rock. One's got the double kick going through alot of it, a bit of 7/8 time signature - maybe leans a bit more towards metal - singing, not grunt/growl.
The other one's a bit lighter - straight ahead rock I guess - a bit motorhead/ish. Mate wrote lyrics about skating, so skate rock? I dunno...
I dunno - I usually struggle describing my own stuff. Definitely wanna get more double kick in there...as I get more practise/get better at it.
