This site was spot on last time when the alpine resort had a record-breaking early season snowfall.
Last night’s chilly sub zero temperature will be repeated again on Friday and Saturday when the freezing level is forecast to fall to about 1400 metres on Saturday morning.
There’s also more snow forecast with the most amount (of snow) expected to fall late Friday and early Saturday. Plus it will be very cold with the mercury anticipated to fall as low as minus 11C when wind chill is factored in.
Strong winds from the west will remind everyone preparing for the start of winter - it is getting closer – 24 days from today. for the top, middle and bottom ski stations of Falls Creek are proving to be accurate.
It may be a useful site for skiers and boarders to bookmark leading up to the start of winter at Queen’s Birthday holiday weekend. With the official start to winter less than four weeks away is the cold snap this week another sign mother nature is cooperating with the wishes of snow enthusiasts?

i got a K2 parkstar rocker yesterday, and 390 bindings. very happy with it thus far but i guess i will save judgement till i actually take it on to the snow.
yeh i might purchase some 390's, either them or some union cadets, something with a small higback, so might get some womens bindings if ihave to maximise the smallness

had my new burton boots arrive on saturday and sold my old 32s on sunday :D looking forward to moving up there now, only 2 weeks away, still need to figure out how i'm getting up though.

i had my induction for thredbo on sat. it was just in sydney but it was pretty good. got me looking even more forward to the season if thats possible

They were still finishing off quay west when i was up there for my interview, look like they should be very nice places, sucks that your mates off mountain though. I'm in one of the staff accommodation buildings somewhere on mountain. It's not Nissen II though i don't think, pretty sure they said it was in the street next to the police station off the main village rd near the carparks.
dude owh is bullshit, try and get your money back and just go over there, i met people there this year that were foolish enough to buy some 'peace of mind', your going over there for some excitment you might aswell just wing it all, its part of the experience. as is smoking as much of the chronic as humanly possible.
scotty just go to the big white website and look at the employment page, if youve done lifts before email the lift guy and im pretty sure youll score a job quite easily.

yeah cheers shred! i was gonna wait and see where the rest of of the falls creek crew is going...their is 6 of us at the moment heading to canada! so im trying to convinec them all to apply at biggie...whistler going to be a killer coz of the olympics...but my cousin did 3 seasons their and has all the hook ups so its all up in the air atm...if u and/or JV go back ill be down 4 sure!!!
yeh goofy, fuck owh off... paying money for nothing basically cos if u get there early enough you will find a job easily. i went to big white this season and i acctually went through owh and didnt get a job, so i got my money back.
the money you pay to them is 1 month of rent up there...
scotty, if you go up to big white next season, we shud go up together, im looking at going back again if i can afford the airfare, and yeh just email jeff- hes the manager of the lifty cvrew and he susses all the employees, u will most likely get a job if you just get over at the end of nov and see him face to face and he like you simply because of your experience.

yeh opening weekend at big is on 27th nov, although we didnt open until 1st week of dec this season.
u would be best to try and get up late nov tho man... alot easier to suss a house and a job out then, so u can just coast the rest of the season. the problem i had this year is that i didnt really look for a job until jan, and by then there was nothing left...
