Rayner Could That really be you.
yes kermet it is The magical Ben Rayner.
who are you?
hey another quick question.
have any of you forum heads worked at Sierra@ tahoe?
i hear its a fairly fun resort to work at.
im lookign at going overseas next season.
give me advice
so ive been doing some research, basically i want a board thats going to be excellent over the whole mountain. i have no problem turning n shit and can pretty much handle steep fast black runs. but i am still yet to learn the art of jibbing and jumps/airs.
ive narrowed down a selection of boards which im interested in to:
Forum - seeker
forum - destroyer
Burton - Seven
if anyone has ridden these boards before or knows any other boards which may suit it would be great.
also i dont really understand the concept of how you choose a boards length. if someone could answer it would be great
most people go for a board that is just below your shoulder height...atm im riding a forum younblood 155cm...i stand about 175-180cm tall roughly...if ur going to start learning jumps and jibbing stick to a smaller board...longer boards are good for fresh powder but probably not suited to jibbing and terrain park jumps etc...also take into consideration if u want a flexy board or a stiffer board...my first board i had was really stiff and was good for powder but when it came to jibs, butters and jumps it was fairly shit...my youngblood is smaller and flexier so it mad a big difference especially for spinning 3s and 5s off jumps.....hope that helps dude.... i dont really know those boards but in saying that ive got a forum atm and i love it!
yeah thanks heaps roll. so how much will a flexier board loose stability when cruising down runs on the mountian. i guess it depends on the snow at the time.
james r i would invest in a Libtech box scrather.
its a smaller boadr for you "skate" styled riding. its sick im goign to get one next season.
i also have a rossignol mini 123
ride kink 155
and burton twin 157
all fun boards to ride the twin is a little stiff for my sloppy jib/bonk style riding but its fun in pow days
buy my burtob cruzier 159W, i used to do everything on it, its still perfect with a few scratches, just from chairlift rides really, and its got a buck of apple stickes and a special blend and grenade decal.
ill flow you it for 300.
nah sorry mate. im pretty keen to get a shop bought one as it is my first board and i want to know exacly what im getting and im sure they will give me good advice.

yeah man it all pretty much depends of the snow but alot of dudes who i was riding with at falls really liked riding powder with flexy boards as well???? best advice i can give u is stick to a smaller board which will be suited to all mountain riding...a flexy board would be fine in the aussie conditions!! plus their more fun
i looking to buy a board soonish
Got these for xmas... well getting them.. lol
hey do any of you guys know any stores in aus that would stock the Think thank
Video range lol im after soem of the older videos like Patchwork patterns

hmmmm hey guys has anyone ridden a Libtech box scratcher im keen to buy one for next seasom.
Oh and i also need a bit of help on buying a board. I'm in the same sitch as James.R, can ride everything, just working on jumps/rails n such.
im ~192cm tall, looking for something that will do me well on the mountain and in the park, just wondering about sizes and stuff like that. Any help would be appreciated.
hmmm buy a 155 Ride kink last seasons one not the 09 board cos its a lil too skinny n stiff
the 08 board is wide n flexable n fun to ride.
maybe bigger than a 155 depending on what u like
Also what size bindings would i be looking for if i have a size 12 boot?
