This bowl was built in 1988 after I wrote a letter to my local council member requestign somewhere to skate, there was an old (very rough) ditchdrain about 30m away which we used to skate in until the council put the new bowl in. We used to skate this from morning to night, any of the lcoals still around, ie Calvin, Mark, Shane, Jim, Jarrod, Simon (pommie). Compared to Browns Plains bowl, this was damm smooth, back then ther was sharky's ramp in Park Ridge, Browns Plains bowl or this. Chris
pritty crummy
lol i was there at night time i didnt even even wanna drop in coz of all the shit at the bottom. ide like to go there in the light. lol no way i wouldnt waist my time
im new to brisbane and a it took mi 40 mins to skate there i got lost twice along middle rd and i finally got there and it was the shitest so called "sk8park" it has no coping and and was so hard droppin in cause of the lumpy concrete and crap at the bottom, my advise dnt even think about it, just go to cressy sk8park its the closest park around this area
LOL KEWDAY-KID. xD Ah well, think about how your dad and uncles felt back in the day riding this shit
I remember this place. My mum and dad bought my brothers and I down to see their friends in ~88-90. We got bored of what the parents were doing and took up the parent's advice to walk down to the park to play. 20 mins later I found myself standing on the curb side of the bowl watching a local pull the first ~5ft fakie-grab I had ever seen in my life. I got to skate for Coke years later when I lived in Tassie. I was already pumped for it - though seeing that young bloke pull of that move with the artistic perfection of a ninja made me commit
