Laidley Skate Park

The stop before Gatton on the trip out west from Brisbane is always this little tiny town, but the park there is very interesting and well worth the travel time off the main highway. This place is a "one street town" and the park is behind the football field, just after the shops and pub. The side street after the playing field is the closest access to the park, as there is no parking (or toilets) right beside it.
There is a mini ramp, a few grind rails and some other interesting and unique concrete things besides the usual banks and ramps. The little bitumen bank hip is surprisingly good for flips, and everything runs well together, bank facing box, quarter opposite the big bank and diagonals using the grind rails. The metal mini is very smooth, nicely big enough without being too high and quite wide enough to do anything across.
Bring a broom as this place seems to not be used that much and watch out for magpies in the spring as they have nests in the trees around the park.

i resently smashed my teeth out at this park if you find them plz givem back. o yea and the park needs to be rebuilt seriously
super slippery ramps with big chunks missing at the bottom, so u eat it and then bounce and tear your body open on super-haggard bitumen. the mini claimed andy's teeth, not a pretty sight for the many weeks of surgery. dont even bother. this park is disgusting in design and construction, has TREES DROPPING CHALKERS to replace every one you sweep up.
theve lyk fixed all the steps n shit comen from the mini to that bank, slippery as shit tho they decided to paint it all well all the mini n that bank and stairs n shit, i rekon the mini is good (im no pro skater haha) can find sum lines, the locals = bogans but sum are ok, laidley is a shit hole, quite fun park tho haha, oh and every so offten u c the local drug deeler ova the ditch skate fo lyf peeps
oh and they also painted the box in da middle quater and that slopy thing to the part bowl :S water that is lol
this park recently got fresh concret on it (only half the park but) is no real sweet and there is a hepes beta flat bar between the big bank and the fun box so cum and sk8 this park and ask 4 sk8a andy (yes the one who nocked his teeth out)
also for those peps lookin for parks near by forest hill and hatton vale just got fresh parks as well pics to be posted when i can get around to it
laidley iz a gud place 2 sk8 if yu lyk runin from locals and b in offered drugs
the sk8er has changed now its been fully cemented and got some new quaters and new rails
definiterly worth a visit
catch the bus from rosewood to laidley on a go card its cheaper.
