Shailer Park New Skatepark

The elements within the space include angled ledge, tight transition walls, hipped quarter, banked wall, level changes (incorporating hubbas, rails, banked walls and gaps) and of course the mandatory 300 high flat ledge. Heights of the transitions range from 0.60m (2ft) to 1.50m (5ft) / banks are 0.60m high for the mellow kickers (level change) to 1.2m (4ft) of the end banked wall and the ledges are 0.30m to 0.60m for the hubba. Along with the heights there are numerous angles/radius's to the elements ensuring each has a point of difference. Favourite elements in the park are the 30 degree banked wall which features an upstand ledge along its platform, with its angled height hitting its peak at 1.2m (4ft) high along with the cantilevered 40 degree bank. The internal planting bed (designed by Council) is contained with transition/banked walls on each side allowing wall rides between the level changes and hipped opportunities. The elements have been orientated for the space to be skated around its perimeter utilising the transitions walls to maintain speed and/or hit up individual elements.
