Shows what you know.
But anyway, you asked for help, and now you're chucking a big stink telling everyone how stupid we are and shit.
I could go on here to justify myself with my experience with music, but at 17-18 years old (I'm guessing from your profile pic - maybe younger) it's probably best you just start pumping out the records now while you still know everything.
But anyway, good luck with it all Johno mate, buddy, guy...

johno... mate. (see what i did there)
funny you make these claims. this point in my life is the first time i haven't been actively playing in a band since i was 13. this is my last band. we weren't around for too long but in the time we were around we toured the east coast a couple of times, hooked sony-bmg distro, supported some rad bands (even Himsa..stoked!), put out a shitty ep which some people liked, bought and lauded. i'm not here for props but you tried to right off my lack of metal "experience". http://www.myspace.com/cityinpanic
some songs there from our ep which we recorded after being together for about a month or so, a couple of years ago now. now please take back those nasty things you said

fox, i'd say from his argument that he's more likely to be closer to 13 years old..
a few years back i was possibly almost as clueless as this guy, but i daresay i wasn't quite as ignorant or arrogant and i sure as hell knew how to take on board good advice.

HA! I strongly suspected that you never sent the cd because you were chicken! haha I mean that little pop thing about the bacon...it's not like it was really amazing or anything. I mean seriously...hardly something to trigger neurosis haha
Yeah I'm up to nearly the end of arabian knights so far and yeah I like it. Good stuff..except...Do I notice a lack of solo's?

yeh man had an official band guitarists meeting early on and agreed that unless either one of us learnt to unleash like fire then we wouldn't play solos.
thanks johno. glad you like. dunno about death core, we were mainly influenced by the european bands that ruled the late 90's onward like at the gates, haunted, in flames as well as some newer metalcore bands who actually know real metal. the dude who wrote those songs was a big parkway fan. i wrote that song Grenade but i don't really dig it. but i do like the end bit where it gets all pantera power groove.

Mush guitar. Hard to make out alot of it.
johno. three of those songs are recorded through a POD, hence my dislike for pods. the grenade demo was recorded in my room with my amp. i much prefer the sound of my amp... pity i sucked at mixing drums back then, coulda been half decent
so what u think fox? worth the wait?

i'm at work so i can't listen to shit, but have you tried using convolution reverbs deathy?
i used to think pods were pretty sick but started picking the sound apart more recently but lately i've been using amplitube (metal specifically) with convolution reverbs instead of the cab sim and it sounds fucking convincing.

Yeah it's good stuff!
i've had a fiddle with conv-reverbs. i liked what i heard. it'd be good to try some more when i have some this to work with. they're an interesting concept
speaking of reverb today i was thinkin about this producer i know up on the north coast. typical north coastian he has 2 rainwater tanks. one hooked up to the house to supply water, the other is a reverb chamber. he doesn't use reverb units or plugs, he just mounts these speakers over the top of it and hangs microphones in there. he changes the water level to change the reverb time etc and moves the mics to get the eq he wants. just cranks the tracks back through the speakers and records the tank in action

the reason it sounds like mush is because the guy cant mix for shit plus its really fast and distorted
thats why less gain is better, what i've been saying all along. it still sounds heavy, you can just hear what notes are being played
