Go to your local music shop and ask for a "practice lead". Note the funny smirk on the guys face. Then say "I guess I just want a cheap one 'cause I don't play gigs or anything..."
But if you spend ten bucks extra you'll get one that will last a hell of a lot longer.

Hey does anyone have any tips on keeping a guitar tuned down? I don't have anything fancy. But I'm playing a telecaster squire. Not bad.

But yeah, I tend to have it tuned 1/2 a step down or drop c most of the time. Would I just need those keys/nuts behind the 0 fret?
