It's very much dependant on which guitar store you go to and the difficulty (ie, bound necks are super expensive, non bound are pretty simple and cheap)

Im expecting anywhere between 200 - 300 for this guitar (non bound neck)

you should just take it to a guitar tech and get it set up,
it'll play sooooo much better too.

sounds awsome. I have a vintage sunburst j 45, has such a nice sound and feel because its round shouldered.
Its my baby:) but its not as special as your custom..aha you should be super stoked!

Yeah! I get it Tuesday and can't play it until I get out of hospital over a week later. It's gunna kill me! So excited.

jaguars are wicked, but fender jazzmasters are where its at. my old guitar teacher had one and it sounded amazing.

i have a Korg GT-3 tuner...pretty good little thing, nice and accurate and get's the job done well. set me back $80 though...

That's alright. I paid $120 on my last one and it's not too accurate as I thought. It's getting old now though

hows this. at my new job the old dude i work with has toured the world numerous times as a guitar tech for all kinds of bands like INXS, the devinyls, elton john, tina turner, beastie boys, barnesy, little river band... etc apparently he was like a guitar tech legend back in the day. he's even done shows with RHCP and iggy pop, met the mexican mafia and been kidnapped by a cab driver in new york. i love listening to his tremendous rocknroll tales

i am actually blood related to mick jagger from the rolling stones, he is my grandma's 1st cousin. i kid you not. i have like 10 or so guitar picks from the bigger bang tour they did a few years ago which he gave to me.

hopefully when he comes out to australia next ill get him to sign my les paul or just talk to him a bit more cause i barely appreciated his music back when i was younger.

hahaha les paul love <3. but seriously, if you like les pauls, try a semi-hollow body. they are so good for so many styles of music. you'd be suprised how well it handles metal as well, cause you really dont even get that much feedback unless you try. only bad thing about them is not being able to get to the electronics.

Speaking of electronics, if anyone has a strat, i would recommend doing the ultra strat mod. i did it to mine a while ago and planning to put in some lace sensors as well and it is one of my favourite axe's

I went in after I picked up a new acoustic and creamed over the les Paul. I was not allowed into the glass cabinet. So beautiful though!
I played with an electric banjo. They're fucken sick. I probably need one now. Hahah
