I'd rather thread an E string through the middle of my pupil than listen to a shredder.
Sshutdown24 Mar 2010

i was talking about the orange not the hamer-ons
NNenaeststas24 Mar 2010
I'd put my dick in that setup and passionately make sweet love to it.
Ssome Rad old goat24 Mar 2010
arent Orange just Korean clone amps that are over priced?

nice elder.. very good contribution to the 'we all hate lead guitar' trend this thread has taken hahaha

that dudes a fair shredder aye.. in fact your whole band is pretty much all about the shred.. i diggit..

tho what id like to hear is some of your bass tracks, in a context where you can actually hear it clearly.. im always interested in seeing you thick-stringers playing along with speedy rythms written by 6 string shredders.. dunno why but im always skeptical that the bass is just blundering away out of time / synch to provide some thunder down under.

I'm waving my "I love lead guitar" dick in the air proudly!

Sure sometimes it might get boring, but i LOVE hearing a great solo played well! I love watching George Lynch who's technique makes him look like he's literally about to explode, or people like Gentaro Satomura, who's technique is for lack of a better word, amazing.

Not everyones cup of tea, but that doesn't mean its something that everyone should beat up. Steve Vai's guitar playing become the new indian uni student in that respect.

Anyone who has watched his latest DVD Where the Wild Things Are (which my lady friend gave me for Valentines Day) know he's not just a mindless shredder.

People approach "shred" (which for the record is the new emo as far as massive blanket genre) with a closed mind and an open mouth.

Embrace your inner shredder, pull out the lycra pants, bust out the hairspray, and Wear Double Denim with pride. </end rant>

Some Gentaro Satomura for you. (MINDLESS SHREDDING ALERT!!)

pig - epic mother fuckering video hey haha

shut down - my lead guitarist wrote two bass solo's in one of our songs.... only one of them stood the test of time because our original bass player didn't know how to be spontaneous haha
so yeah ...

www.myspace.com/wolfkahnmetal - At 2 minutes 28 seconds into "armageddon" there's a bass solo

has anyone tried switch guitaring?
NNate Dawg27 Mar 2010
this guy's technique just blows my fucking mind... particularly his right hand (not that his left is any slouch!!), check out the super fast triplets where you barely even see his thumb twitch.

I got a very sexy jag left at my house. Too bad the low E has a mad buzz and the other e is snapped though. Bummer to the maximum
Bbonezy30 Mar 2010
yo skate/geetar heads, i want to get an electric geetar but cheap under 400 bucks, any ideas for a geetar noob?
MmegamanX30 Mar 2010
head down to your local shop. they will have beginner set-ups. includes amp, tuner & other things etc. etc. etc.
Bbonezy30 Mar 2010
maybe i'd go to a store just to checkout stuff coz theres no chance im goin to my local billy hyde to buy somethin.
NNenaeststas30 Mar 2010
Why not man? Just do it.
DDeathMoth30 Mar 2010
Bonezy i dunno what there is around at the budget end of the scale but when you're talking cheap, Yamaha is a good option. you'll probably find their cheap guitars to be a little bit better quality than other oddly named brands
Sshutdown30 Mar 2010
im thinking of picking up a cheapish strat copy.

I've heard storys of squiers being used in studio recordings over the real dealio, and im also privvy to some info that the shecter copys go alright too...

My qn is, what is the difference between a squier and a usa tele, is it completely different wood types or does it mostly come down to pickups and construction quality?
