yeah dude i herd the jibpan was fair flexy but i may suss it. got art on it by michael seiban graphics.
i want something stiffer.

yeah i plan on going for more of my instructor levels this season and i want something a bit stiffer that preforms at more of an APSI lvl or riding. instead of slopping all over the shop on the park noodle. just a bit to flexy to hold a decent edge.

oh man that hoodie is ridiculously baggy and good ahaha. sure to be a hit up the hill this season. last year everyone loved my massive beenies id rock out

maybe you might be after a soft normal cambered board to hold a good edge?

forum manual would be good if thats what your after.

or even a zero cambered board? i think dc have a few zero cambers in their range

yeah i dont mind reverse camber boards just the board i have now is soo fucking flexy. like if i feel like being a dick i can flex it so front foot toeside is carving and the dack foot heelside is carving. thing ridiculous for carving on lol.

thinking about the eero etela nitro board. or the ride DH2.2 cos its much stiffer but still good parkwise

who knows ill probly end up sussing out what rythm has on offer in cooma. probly end up with a stepchild or a endevour

HURRY UP AND SNOW! fuck.
Thinking of hitting NZ for a bit at the end of july, if anyone is thinking of going there soon, Jetstar has a sale on now with cheap flights to Christchurch at the moment.

just got back from thredbo the other day, and got the job as an instructor, thanks rayner for the tips. and thanks scotty for trying to hook me up with a job.

got this mad dogey place in jindy, with an Arminian landlord who threatened to take our bond because we didnt sign the lease straight away.

rwc, im going to canada at the end of the year on one of those programs, and i was speaking to a guy who did it a couple of years ago and he reckons that there a massive rip, like hes been going to canada for the last couple of years and never had a problem finding a job. also most of the agencies are full anyway...

RWC i did one through Overseas working holidays. they can organise everything for you if you want, flights, jobs, insurance, accom etc but its expensive. I got them to organise only my jobs and took care of the rest myself because what they offered was a rip. Once you get to canada you will realise how easy it is to find work in the ski towns. Even easier if you go there in summer. But I was only 18 and it was my first time overseas by myself so it was peace of mind to know I had a job and a place to stay when I got there.

im going back at the end of the year and not going through them

Hi Guys,

just wanting some advice on snowboards.
i recently bought a second hand snow board in pretty good nick, with size 10-12 bindings (im a size 10) we are hitting up the snow in august, super excitied cant wait - so to cure my excitment i have been jumping around the house with my board trying to get used to the feel of it. i have notcied my boots overhand the back of the board a little, maybe say approx an inch -

just wanting to know is it normal to have your boots hanging off the board a little or should your boots sit entirley within the width of the board??
will the overhang some how effect your riding when you carve?

this may sound like a stupid question to most of you, but i am so keen for the snow i just want to make sure all my gear is good to go before we make the journey!

thanks

Im hoping someone will be nice enough to help me. I want to buy a board, boots, bindings the lot. Im a noob and just want a board that is good all round, what are some boards and where are some good places to purchase them in the melb/vic area?

bradlie - it's normal to have a bit of overhang, but if it's more than about a cm, you might need a wider board. generally if you have big feet (eg sz13 or more) you need a wide board, usually they will be labelled as such in the store.
you can still ride it like that, esp if you dont mind riding at 30/-30 (with your feet pointing outwards), but if you're just getting started you're probly better off riding at 15/-6 or something and you dont want your toes/heels to be sticking out or they'll catch occasionally
you might also be able to shift the bindings back so that the heels overhang more, just because of the angle of the bindings they can stick out a bit more without catching
