Singa- I have been to both and both have there ups and downs like any competing resorts. However i personally prefer thredbo, despite there being a smaller area to board in, the layout just shits all over perisher...to get anywhere in perisher your constantly up this lift and off to another lift...however from memory perisher normally has either bigger terrain parks or more of them...plus a halfpipe....but since you said you were a semi beginner i dont think you would have to much interest in that yet? And Thredbo also has great great terrain parks aswell...Both have great learning areas but since you indicated that your getting your turns down you will be killing it sooon....Anyway my choice is always thredbo over perisher anyday...but either way you will have an amazing time and meet some rad crew!
heading to buller next tuesday for a day trip. not sure if it'll be worth it but im just keen as fuck to hit the slopes again!
just got back from buller this morning at 1am. i wish i didnt have to leave.

perisher has been pretty average. Runs have been pretty icey which i expected anyway. Lines hav been just as bad, waited at the quad for 50 minutes the other day. On the up side ot dumped a bit last night and is blizzarding a bit now so hopefully tommorrow is good. The last few days blue cow has had the better snow but still icey in some parts. Pingu out
thank u very much Larsson

ok so scrub question here, only just started goin to snow semi regularily and i was wondering what a good/cheap water proof camera would set me back and any suggestions?
i like the look of the lumix ft1, and think the ft2 is out now.
Chips on the ball Lumix is awsome. i used one when i went to Japan in Jan/Feb im still trying to get the footage together to put online. all round good camera shoots nice photos and can film hd on it...
baw baw pretty decent this year, big air bags been up a few times, 7 terrain parks.
30cm is pretty decent for baw baw. although platters and t bars suck for snowboards.
I've never even touched or seen real snow before.. The closest is in my work's freezers...
On the news they say "On the hills of *insert snowy mountain name here* they have had a snowfall of such an such inches..."
Now I know that that means so an so inches have fallen but what is the desired amount of snow that you want? The less obviously means the closer to the ground but is to much a bad thing??
Too much a bad thing? Hell no! Gimme a 50cm dump anyday!
2 Weeks agoat buller, i trusted a skiing, female photographers jump building skills over a fallen tree.
Snow sunk.
Nose Went under tree.
Fractured elbow.
Out of order for another 3 weeks.
Shattered.
Hopefully the recent snowfall holds up until then.
110cm at thredbo in 2 days, pretty stoked. gonna make an edt one of these days...
so.. first time comin up, just bought some goggles - von zipper porkchops. they kinda squeeze my nostrils a little bit when i wear em at what i think is the proper spot on my face... should i try swapping em? or is this kinda normal for new goggles? not sure why i didn't notice this in the shop but anyways..
my dragon goggles were like that a little when i first bought them and my mates anons were even worse but after 1-3 days it went away. If its giving you shit while on the mountain, were them in while your just chillin on the interwebzz..
skateboard.com.au can be orange for a day.
Hey does anyone know the name of that really good internet snowboard shop? i have no idea.
went up last weekend with my brother. at buller.. addded new shit to kofflers and skyline was good weather and snow...
