Ketamine i was working as a dish washer at Grizzley House, and the ski shot was a thing called the trappers run, where you run from your hottub to the bar called trappers up on the top of Sunshine and have a shot.
Ive got the 1080 go pro, but its a bit overkill, you cant even get that many clips on a sd card at 1080 resolution. All the stuff i shot was at 720p and it seemed to come out really nice on my comp, even though the quality is a bit raped in my edits from exporting.
Fuck that Radventures edit was sick! Does your friend own Radical Gloves scotty? Love the Barracuda glove they have

the 1080 shoots 720 at 60fps and the 960 is only 30fps am I right?
i read quickly in a review that 960 doesnt have a wide angle lense either but I was sure that couldnt be true.. anyway would the 960 still do the trick?

the 960 has the same wide angle lens as the 1080, i think its 170 degrees. and yeh the 960 can film at 720p 60fps, but when i tried filming on 720 60fps the footage came out REALLY shakey when snowboarding. The only thing is you cant get super slow mos at 30fps to look good.

JDLP - "been in chamonix for a week now"
I'm hitting chamonix in 4 weeks. Hopefully there is some decent cover still at that time of year. I'm a total snow noob tho so as long as theres a couple of green / blue runs open i'l have plenty to keep me busy.. About to join that club of 'skaters who get utterly devoed when they realise snowboarding is completely different and they are just as much a shitcunt as the next noob koont'..
Nah, how hard can it be? Surely i'll be bombing hills, busting 4-rail slides, rockin 180's and switch ollies off kickers within the first 15 minutes :-)
If anyone has any hot tips, im all ears..

just leaving chamonix today actually. on my why to bulgaria. the day before i came to chamonix there was the first big dump in ages. then it snowed for about a week and bit. hasn't really dumped more since. all the resorts are still rideable. just no fresh pow. might have to check the snow reports in 4 weeks tho. feels like spring is kicking in. there should be snow around still.

shutdown the biggest throwoff was the fact that you cant move your feet. it was for me anyway. it felt real weird to be strapped to a board. Skating will definitely help though, balance wise etc
nice clip scotty. my gopro is in the mail from the states now hanging for it to get here

my number one tip would be when your learning to turn from edge to edge ,make sure you let your board go onto its flat base between turns...alot of people when they learn to ride panic and try and force turns really quick, which usually results in catching your edge and getting hurt. so just cruise from heel side to toe side making sure u go on your base between turns when learning!

"shutdown the biggest throwoff was the fact that you cant move your feet"
haha. thats the least of my worries.. when i was a kid and couldnt ollie we used to tie inner tubes to our decks and tuck our feet under em then bomb hills and jump shit.. also used to hose down our driveway (steep as fuck big pebblecrete thing) and 4 wheel slide from top to bottom with those rubber straps over our feet more often than not slipping out and cracking back of head on ground.
i'll try to film my failures for you all to laugh at.. Have booked a full days lesson on day 1 so hopefully that will get me to a point where I can sorta make turns and stay on for more than a few seconds..

haha shutdown i was like you last season here. still only went two weekends and both were really shitty weather but i went from falling down icy green runs at thredbo to managing dotted blues and charging regular blues in about 3 days. sussed a few smaller table top jumps and drops and shit but didn't really get to try and grinds/slides (jibs?) as the parks weren't open at the time so i can't comment on that.
the biggest shit that wigged me out was the fact that a lot of the time you're not really going 'straight' (sideways) like on a board unless you're on the flat bottom which is real scary to do at the start (IMO anyway). the other thing is the fact that you initiate turns with your front foot/knee which is a bit different. skating definitely helps but it's fairly different. sessy skills will definitely come in handy though!

yeah, we did peak a fair few times.. in total probably around 10 maybe
night skiing was so sick, we all had headlights so we could everywhere.. i would HIGHLY recommend headlight + night skiing we tried hooking up a go-pro with a headlight one time, but it wasn't working out :(
