Anyone know like whats the go with taking snowboards overseas? Never been snow boarding out of aus so some info on what you can check in and shit would be helpful.

Most airlines will just check it in as sporting equipment free of charge (provided its not heavier than your weight allowance). Keep in mind this may be your only free piece of check-in luggage, so cram all of your clothes and snowboarding gear in the same bag if possible!

Yeah Ghostface I'll be getting there on the 4th of Jan so we'd definitely have enough time to go for a ride before you leave.

Ahh was booking hotels and stuff, says you have to be at least like 21-25 to do it but sussed it all out.

Has anybody hit up Niseko, Hakuba and/or Nozawa? Keen to do 3 weeks there in Feb.
Also, any hints on a stop-over in Tokyo? Places to stay/things to do, etc.?

ive been to all 3 womble. niseko was my favourite, it has a tight little town at the bottom of the mountain and good terrain. just eat as much as possible, onsen it up and enjoy the best snow you will ever get!

Will definitely be doing that! I wish it was Feb already!

Bonezy, I'm going with "I Like to Party" - a group of guys from Wollongong that just want to have rad times with rad people, and they booked through liquid snow tours. We're not going to Feb though. You're gonna have to kill a lot of people Doom Patrol. Euro skiers and Chinese wannabees now at the top of the list. That place has such a different vibe now than it did 6 or 7 years ago. Pow is still amazing though.
