re: building around trees. Would the roots growing not be a problem? Roots will break through just about anything over time.
ill take a pic next time i go there, but LES park has an awesome bank/qp type thing with pool coping that is all types of wicked awesome.
Some assortment of stair set is necessary. Like I'm not saying go all coburg but just a little set to warm up on before going to a spot is always so good. All the other ideas for the tranny and creative shit is dope though. Even if it was a grass gap or something...
RE: stairs I would like stairs as well maybe just a 3 but made like that spot in san fran in front of some uni, so i'ts a long 3 made out like a ledge.
9 pages and we are still discussing stairs?
Can you please watch the film below and broaden your perspective of what can be created and achieved. A bank is a gap without the stopping of flow that a stair set creates, just sayin'.

I actually have something to add.
newport. awesome park. effectively no stairs.
if people wanna jump down something the jump off a bank.
makes it nicer for shit cunts like me to lazy mong around in everyones way.
People sit around and on stairs anyway
Well people sit and stand pretty much everywhere
Don't see many people sitting on a bank like a dumb fuck though
Whats happening with this? Is there any plans yet?
I have been in touch a few times. Still going ahead, drafts should be available.
I'll get back to ya
....still gotta push for a clover bowl. Street parts of it will be rad, no stress about that. Getting the bowl right is a concern for me
Yeah stage 2 consultations have happened, crew will be stoked I reckon. Unique flowy street focus, still keeping with the uniqueness of Fawkner. Has to be built and finished by June 30 this year.
Both the same designer so I'll call him tomorrow
Awesome that's great news I can't wait.
Does anyone know who built the Laurimar bowl? I went there the other day and I was just wondering.

Not sure, but it was leaking bad in the first few weeks.
Really? hmmm if the counsil trys to build some new shit park what are some usefull ways to put them on the right track design and construction wise. (like telling them to get convic to build it)
Because I'm really getting sick of parks in my area having unskateable objects, being to close to playgrounds and really just having a poor amount of effort put into them.
How about getting elements from other citys that arent that common in Melbourne like a bump over hydrant with a red curb next to it.
There is enough coin to have a great bowl and great street area.
Melbourne is stuck at 8ft maximum depth. A clover would be a great way to have a proper deep section and still have the other heights to work up to.
I appreciate there is a huge need for a great street focused park in the area.
How very creative of you CHIP, sorry to burst your bubble but there is def gunna be a bowl in this facility, one of international competition standard. Can you tell me where one of those is in melbourne? Banks, ledges and rails already exist all over melbourne. Go skate some street
