Skaters put forward their ideas by drawing on that pic and we're waiting for preliminary plans to come back for the community consultation. The local skaters had a lot of input on the layout and the Convic guys really listened without trying to railroad the design.
That is a snake run and the guys really worked on getting it right.
Nah, it's not near the school. Two low life locals and Shire Watch forced it out of Wanda so it's about 1/3 the way out to Kurnell.

The DA should be going in for approval in May. So it goes through quicker the DA gets done before the final public consult.
I emailed Convic yesterday to get an update from them. No reply yet.

We have another petition going at work. Does anyone have any news?
The DA for the development of the whole park area was submitted in August. That was for everything, the skate park, the sports fields, walking & riding tracks etc.
The DA for the skate park build will go in within a fortnight - about the middle of September.
When the DA goes in they'll put the final plans on display. They'll send me a copy so I'll post it here.
Convic designed it and they will build it.
Construction will begin in February 2012.

THE PLAN HAS GONE IN!!!!
Just off the phone to the council. A meeting for skaters and all stake holders will be arranged for sometime in the next 2 weeks. I'm trying to get the plans released before then so everyone can really sus them out. I'm told we need to compare what we were promised to what they're now offering and give our HONEST opinions. Not just say it's great so it will go through. I'll keep you posted.
