G'day all. Revieved the DRAFT plans. Bowl looks exactly like what we all asked for. Street section is a little underwhelming. I'm at work with no photoshop so I will make a few suggestions tonight. Basically (In my opinion) there just seems to be a lot of underutilised space, the outside curves all need to have an obstacle and the ledges need to have more endings. A flat bar is always essential, and don't see how you can generate any speed at all. Look that is why they do drafts, so they can be tweaked and ammended.

Bowl looks so rad.

Anyhow the next consultation is Thursday the 6th from 4-6pm. If we can use this thread to generate some consensus it will be valuable for the meeting.

Construction starts June 2014 for a September/October completion.

Thanks to Wade and Jason at Enlocus and Darren at Baseblate for their work so far. Alli is heading off on maternity leave, so I am sure all the skate community wishes her all the best.

....the more I look at the street area the more potential I see. A few tweaks and we should be good! Print 'em out kids and get your scribble on.

what an awesome design!

the hubba probably has just enough run-up, but it's those ledges along the footpath look really interesting.

bowl looks so fun

That's really contsructive sexcrime keep up the great work.

Speaking to the designers the street area has been kept pretty sparce for further input at the next consultation. This makes sense. So again, lets get some solid ideas and input together so we can have some consensus. It's up to everyone to put forward their ideas for what they would like to see in the park. Keep it simple and constructive.

Overhead lights, and LED light strips in the terracing are a goer too. It will be so good having sessions under lights here.

Get drawing Tinbum and Benny and come to the next meeting. We can make the street section rad, they have left it pretty bare for input

yeah fuck. sorry, constructive crit: bowl looks good, but the street section is a complete wast of money. that vert wall will never be used. a nice 6 stair hubba rail kinda deal like waterloo would be way better then a big set with no run up that lands right on the path of people who would be skating the hip. sub ledges suck too. maybe if the ledge was halfway up the bank instead of ontop. i dunno. street area needs to be completely scratched and started again

RE: Brunswick Skatepark 2013 So bank to ledge more like this than on top Tinbum?

Vert wall needs to be wider, why are skinny vert walls even a thing?

I made this plaza design a while back. Maybe this could be the street section?

Street section definitely needs to be redone, need a good long flat bar in there somewhere and a manny pad/ledge.

RE: Brunswick Skatepark 2013 This is a cool idea Blair! Some cool stuff in that design.

A round flat bar, proper width manny pad....Simple essentials needed and kept on suggesting

RE: Brunswick Skatepark 2013 yeah like this..
im not saying id personally like to skate this but if you were gonna do it, then this is the way it should be done as it can be utilised both ways. twice the fun!

I have to agree, clover bowls are rotten to skate. The street part could potentially be good but it'll need an entire overhaul, not just a heap of blocks on top of each other...

What clover are you basing that on? It might be helpful to study it and not replicate flaws.

Consensus was pretty strong for the Clover at all the meetings. I don't see why there can't be both good tranny and good street sorted out for a $500k budget? Aren't skaters generally more well rounded these days and want the best of both?
