Brunswick Skatepark 2013

I like the sound of two ledges in a row or a ledge and the parking block in a row.

If you want my 2cents the curved ledges should be a bank/hip instead (with a ledge on top possibly?) but then you might have speed issues so it would need a bit of a rework.
I'm diggin' the bowl area to the bottom right!

If you were to have two or three ledges in a row would you want them the same hieght or varying heights? Like three in a row getting 1 stair bigger each ledge?

I understand they have to build up a bit for drainage, personally I would rather a bank like this than big steps.

And when a couple of people said kicker to kickers, but longer and mellower than rosehill, what do you think of these as a reference?

Stoner kicker to kicker would be amazing. Hoping to get to the meeting next week. timb & timfranklin are on the money.

Only weird thing is that image wise the bank at the front of park is described as a quarter which is it were a quarter pipe that'd be heaps better. Anyway, now to try and be helpful, the High st ledges idea is great and the stairs are a big no no. For the ledges on the plans more of a Malmo idea should be tried as the space and height is perfect for that sort of thing. It'd be a nice and different touch. With the banks and vert wall, I think the vert wall should go and a few sadlands style tree planters would be awesome.

Regarding the kicker to kicker - If the stairs were converted to a bank the kickers could be partly set into the bank, allowing it to be hit as a kicker to kicker and a kind of hip gap into the bank (like the rosebud plaza one Tim B. posted). Would also leave more room for a ledge or something alongside it on the outer edge of the park. Not sure if that's enough to visualise it, so here's a shitty illustration too.

I haven't been following this thread at all, but has anyone seen the new Carlsbad Skatepark?
I went there recently and its amazing!
we could definitely take some of what they have and incorporate it into these plans.

I also had the privilege to have a roll at the new Encinitas park which is still being built. And holy moly it's good.

That's a brilliant idea or a ledge you can hit from both sides and a flat bar after it with enough room to push in the middle.

After the ledge you can hit from both sides put the parking block or maybe a step up ledge thing, like the one at rivers.

Nice easy, simple constructive ideas. It will be good to see them in a modified draft. See you Thurs

Street section is looking better now, here is one of the less drawn on pictures.
We were talking about making say 3/4 of the big three out from where the green hip is drawn into a bank where you could move the kicker to kicker to blend into like the pic homie drew a page or two back. Then where the kicker to kicker is in this pic you could put a wheelchair rail/out ledge/bars or different obstacle. kids were also adding slappy ledges to the sides and different ledge and flat bar ideas, looking good.

Those ideas refined by wade about extending the bank out ect were good. Nice one Tim B.

I think it's good for people to have direct input to the designers.
